Celebrate Halloween Downtown Phoenix Style

Looking to enjoy some spectacular spooks on all hallows eve this weekend? Come celebrate Halloween downtown Phoenix style! Whether you want to be the designated driver, hop the light rail or even rent a bicycle there’s something fun for all the adult boys and ghouls seeking tricks and treats. Here are some fun Halloween events happening in the signs of downtown Phoenix area this weekend.

Alwun House
The Alwun House located at 1204 E. Roosevelt St., Phoenix has helped launch the alternative-arts scene in downtown Phoenix and hosts this annual show that’s part art exhibit and part haunted house. Related events include the Monsters Ball ($15-$20) on Halloween, with live music and “adult vaudeville” as well as the yearly "Monster's Menagerie" group art show on display in the Alwun House gallery until October 31st. The Cirque du Freak Show located at Palazzo at 710 N. Central Ave., Phoenix will serve up a bizarre phantasmagoria boasting an overabundance of twisted freaks and sideshow entertainers. The lineup includes performances and appearances by Long Jon (a.k.a. "The World's Tallest Peeping Tom"), The Dangling Mummies, Voodoo Betty, Madam C., and other eye-catching spectacles. 8 p.m.; $10 in advance, $15 at the door. Space 55 Theatre
Space 55 Theatre located at 636 E. Pierce St., Phoenix offers scary delights at the 7 Minutes in Hell variety show will offer thirteen local performance artists, musicians, poets, or other creatives exactly that much time to do whatever they'd like onstage. Little Bunny’s Halloween

Looking to enjoy the softer side of Halloween with your kiddos instead? The Little Bunny’s Halloween puppet show shows the cute and not-so-scary side of Halloween and includes sing-alongs with Little Bunny and his mom. It’s recommended for ages 3-7. Arrive early to make your own paper-sack puppet in the craft area and peruse the puppet-filled gift shop now through November 1st at the Great Arizona Puppet Theater located at 302 W.
